July 25th: Today is Kyoto’s “greatest hits”: gates, gold, and panoramic temple views. Walk beneath the thousands of torii at Fushimi Inari, admire the shimmering beauty of Kinkaku-ji, take in Kyoto from Kiyomizu-dera’s hillside setting, then return to Gion for one more evening stroll through Kyoto’s most atmospheric district.
